🌟 Mountain View School – September Updates & Reminders

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope your family is settling into a wonderful start to the school year! As we move through September, we would like to share a few important reminders and upcoming events at Mountain View School.

✅ Meet the Staff Night & Meet Home and School & PSSC

We are excited to welcome families to our Meet the Staff Night on Wednesday, September 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to:

• Meet your child’s teacher(s)
• Learn about classroom routines and expectations
• Connect with our school community including our Home and School and PSSC Parent Teams.

To make the evening even easier for families, TEOS food truck will be on site, offering meals and snacks to purchase for families starting just after 5 pm. We hope you’ll come, enjoy some food, and spend time with us at the school.

📝 Student Forms Reminder

Please ensure that all student information forms are completed and submitted as soon as possible.

Forms are available through SchoolCash Online, and we also ask that you return your child’s student profile sheet to the school.

If you are unsure of your child’s student number for creating a SchoolCash Online account, please contact your child’s teacher for assistance.

🚫 No School for Students

Please note that there will be no school for students on:

• Friday, September 18
• Wednesday, September 30

🧡 Orange Shirt Day – September 29

Mountain View School will observe Orange Shirt Day on Tuesday, September 29.

This day provides an opportunity for learning, reflection, and recognition of the experiences of Indigenous peoples impacted by the residential school system. Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange as a sign of support and commitment to reconciliation.

🏃 Intramurals

Intramural teams and schedules will be shared with students soon. Please keep an eye out for additional information coming home.

🍎 Hot Lunch Program

Our hot lunch program is up and running through Chartwells this year.

If you have not yet created an account, instructions were previously emailed to families and are also available on our school website, just click on the Blue Fork on our site.

🚌 Transportation Reminder
As per District Policy 522, any changes to bussing must be made online using an Alternate Conveyance Form. Unfortunately, one-day changes cannot be approved. Students must get on and off the bus at their assigned stop and bus.
