Hello Mountain View Families and Happy New Year!

We’re excited to welcome several new families who have joined our school community over the past month. It’s always wonderful to add new Lions to our Pride!

If you’re looking for information about our school, our updated School Handbook is available on our website: https://mountainview.nbed.ca/

Lunch Program

We’re currently working on securing a new lunch vendor for every second Friday. Once everything is finalized, we’ll share the details with you. Until then, please note that there is no lunch option available at school.

Attendance Matters

Consistent attendance is key to student success! Being at school every day helps students:

  • Stay on track with lessons and learning
  • Build strong relationships with peers and teachers
  • Develop routines and skills for lifelong learning

Thank you for helping ensure students arrive on time (by 8:00 a.m.) and attend regularly.

Upcoming Events

January 14 – Centres of Excellence at Mountain View!
Students will explore exciting career readiness opportunities through hands-on and virtual experiences. Activities may include:

  • The life of a potato – Farm to Fry
  • Wind to Energy
  • Brilliant Labs
  • How to code a sandcastle
These sessions connect classroom learning with real-world expertise while supporting our curriculum.

January 20 – Bilingual Experience Assembly for the whole school
We’ll also host a Home and School Meeting at 6:00 p.m.

End-of-Day Pick-Up Reminder

If you’re picking up your child at dismissal, please wait outside by the fence near the play yard. Teachers will bring students to you there. There’s no need to enter the school unless you’re signing your child out early.

Important Safety Note: When buses are in the bus zone with red stop signs flashing, vehicles must not pass them – including in the Kiss and Drop Lane. This is a provincial safety law, and violations could result in a ticket.
