Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this message finds you well! As we move through September, here are a few important reminders and upcoming events at Mountain View School:
✅ Meet the Staff Night & Home and School Meeting
We’re excited to welcome families to our Meet the Staff evening on Thursday, September 18th from 5:30–6:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers and learn more about their classroom experience.
Following this, we’ll hold our first Home and School meeting—we’d love to see you there and hear your ideas!
📝 Student Forms Reminder
Please ensure all student forms are submitted to the office as soon as possible. Forms are available through School Cash Online. As well, please return the student profile sheets ASAP.

🚫 No School for Students
Please note that there will be no school for students on September 26th and September 30th.
🧡 Orange Shirt Day – September 29th
Mountain View School will observe Orange Shirt Day on Monday, September 29th. This day is a time for reflection and learning, as many Canadians wear orange to honour the healing journey of Indigenous peoples affected by the residential school system. We encourage all students and staff to wear orange in support.
Intramurals
Teams and schedules will be going home this week, and the first game will be next Monday at lunch recess.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Warm regards,
Cathi Poplar
Principal, Mountain View School
