June is almost here! We have some exciting events planned.
📅 Important Dates
- May 25th Reminder there is no school for K students only on Monday May 25th as we are welcoming our PreK’s to the school that day.
- 🎓 June 11 – Grade 5 Celebration
- At the school at 5:30 pm
- Grade 5’s are visiting Sunny Brae School on June 10th in the morning, travelling by bus. Pizza lunch is provided at Sunny Brae School.
- ⚽ June 18 – Field Day (all students)
- 🎉 June 19 – Last day of school
- Report cards will be sent home
- Please remind your child to bring home all their items as we are not able to keep shoes, or personal items in the school over the summer.
🍕 Pizza Day – June 12
Our Home and School is providing pizza lunch for all students.
- Students will receive 1–2 slices (cheese or pepperoni)
- If you prefer to send a lunch from home, please:
- Let your child’s teacher know
- For dietary needs (gluten-free or dairy-free):
- Contact your child’s teacher by June 4
🌲 Camp Centennial – June 5
Our whole school will be visiting Camp Centennial!
- 🕣 Leaving at 8:30 am and returning after lunch
- ✅ Students must have:
- Signed paper permission form from the camp
- Completed online form, this is the school permission
- 📢 If your child is NOT attending:
- Please inform the teacher ASAP
- ❗ Students without both forms completed will not be able to attend
🎒 What to Bring
To help your child have a safe and fun day, please send:
- ☀️ Sunscreen
- Apply before school
- Send extra for reapplication
- 🧥 Layers
- We will be outside all day (rain or shine)
- 🎒 Small bag
- For lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen
- 🧢 Hat
- To protect from the sun
- 👟 Proper footwear
- Sneakers only (no sandals, flip flops, or boots)
- 🥪 Food and water
- Plenty of snacks and a full lunch
- Water bottle
- 🦟 Bug spray
